I am a first time user of Android and just got Samsung Galaxy S2 Sim Free and got everything working fine except I cannot understand how to transfer pitures and music from Win 7 PC. My Phone does not show up under computer although it is connected and is charging up. Any bright ideas please?

You can attach you Galaxy S2 to your computer via USB cable. This will make it be recognized as an external storage. You will then take your files from the computer and copy then to the Pictures folder on your Galaxy.
You can also install its software in the computer and then connect it and transfer files. I would like to recommend the Android Transfer, which can transfer your galaxy files such as SMS, contacts, photos, music etc with your computer.
